The work performed by Natalia on a transformative carbonate-to-acetal process has been finally released in Advanced Synthesis & Catalysis. This paper demonstrates that functionalized cyclic carbonates (either five- or six-membered) can be conveniently converted into cyclic acetals, thus exploring a larger chemical space for carbon dioxide derived heterocycles in synthetic chemistry. This joint publication has been realized in collaboration with the University of Rennes/CNRS with Profs. Sophie Guillaume annd Jean-Francois Carpentier.
